Located at a distance of about 100 kilometers from Srinagar, Pahalgam is best known for
its awe-inspiring vistas, lush green meadows, dense forests, and pristine waters. The
place is also noted for the annual pilgrimage to the shrine Amarnath Yatra that starts here
in July and August. The name Pahalgam literally means a village of shepherds in the
Kashmiri language. The town is located in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir.
After arrival, you’ll be taken on a guided Srinagar Walking tour covering the major
sights of Old Srinagar like Zaina Kadal Bazaar, Jhelum River, Jamia Masjid and
many more with the guide explaining to you the significance and history about
them, along with that you’ll also get to visit some local food joints. Later, you’ll
move to Pahalgam. Overnight in Pahalgam.
Today, you’ll have the option to explore Aru and Betaab Valley on your own. The cab will
take you to the Union transport point from where you’ll have to get the taxi at your own
cost. Overnight in Pahalgam.
Leave Pahalgam early morning for Srinagar. After lunch, you will be taken for Srinagar
local sightseeing covering the Mughal Gardens (Pari Mahal, Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh),
Shankaracharya Temple, Dal Lake. Overnight stay at hotel with Breakfast.
Today, you will be taken on a day trip to Tangmarg and Gulmarg. Enjoy the beautiful
landscapes of the valley. There are options for ATV ride in Tangmarg and Gondola Ride in
Gulmarg that you can do at your own cost. Later, you’ll be taken on Shikara Ride Nigeen
lake where you can enjoy the ride with far fewer tourists and unobstructed view of the
lake during Sunrise and sunset hours as compared to Dal Lake. Overnight in Srinagar
Today, you’ll enjoy the green meadows of Doodhpatri which is 50 kms from Srinagar. Surrounded by
grasslands and Pine Forest in Pir Panjal Range with white gushing water of river flowing through it. You
have the option of a Pony ride and ATV ride through the meadows, or you can just opt to have your own
leisure time on the grass. Overnight in Srinagar.
Transfer to the airport as per the flight timings.
