DAY 3 PELLING – OKHREY (80 KMS/3 HOURS APPROX)

Okhrey, a little hamlet in West Sikkim, is the gateway to the Rhododendron Sanctuary, which is both picturesque and lovely. From mid-March to May, hikers and botanists flock to this settlement to see the brilliant red and pink rhododendrons that bloom in the neighbouring woodlands. Wildflowers bloom everywhere. The clear skies and mild temperatures contribute to the appeal.
We’ll be leaving today for Okhrey, one of Sikkim’s hidden beauties. The less-touristy area is ideal for relaxing and enjoying nature. The day will be leisurely, including trips to Rhododendron Park and Ugen Thondroling Monastery. Take a trip around the hamlet and visit local organic farms for fresh produce. DAY 4: OKHREY – RINCHENPONG (50 KMS/2 HOUR APPROX.)

Rinchenpong, situated at an elevation of 5576 feet, is like a breath of fresh air. This little hamlet offers stunning views of the Kanchenjunga peaks, as well as the natural beauty of the surrounding forests. Rinchenpong, located in West Sikkim, offers a peaceful environment.
